Raf Simons fall/winter 2006 sweater with zips and PVC accordion hood, a recent acquisition. There are about 10 different ways to configure the collars and hood.

Wearing with Raf Simons SS00 MA-1 jacket, Lanvin glasses and bag, H&M trousers (with awful/amazing pleather inner leg inserts...) and b Store desert boots.

The Lanvin bag is a recent purchase too. I never thought Lanvin would come up trumps for the perfect understated black tote bag (generally its accessories are too busy/adorned for my taste), so I was really pleased when I found this in the Webster Miami sale. They ship everything in fun tropical packaging covered in flamingos, with a hand-written note thanking you for your custom.

Also recently got hold of this Raf Simons spring/summer 2008 draped 'double' T-shirt:

It took a while to find a black one (I'm still not feeling colour), but eventually it showed up on Yahoo Auctions Japan.

Non-outfit posts coming soon...

As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Dazed & Confused created a ‘time capsule’ of objects donated by the magazine’s collaborators from the last twenty years, intended to be representative of the past two decades of the title. The 34 submissions, which were auctioned on eBay with the proceeds going to Oxfam, included a crystal-encrusted cigarette lighter from Donatella Versace and a signed sketch by Yohji Yamamoto. I bought the amazing, one-off ‘3D’-print tote bag by Marios Schwab, which brings to mind the first ‘3D’ issue of Dazed, from August 2009, which was based around the designer’s fall/winter 2009 collection.

I went through my archives, and dug out that issue, as well as the only other ‘3D’ issue which Dazed has done (to my knowledge), the Daft Punk one from December 2010. With the 3D glasses on, the print of the bag seems to jump right out. I was particularly thrilled to get this piece, because I was obsessed with that particular Schwab collection, inspired as it was by geology.

I hardly wear colour these days, but I couldn't resist... with SS08 T-shirt and FW07 holographic high tops both by Raf Simons:
